Foundation English Test

Foundation English Test has been designed by the British Council with a special focus on improving peoples’ employment prospects. It assesses lower levels of English, which makes it more appropriate for test takers who only require entry-level English (A1 to B1 levels on the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR)). By offering an accurate, appropriate and accessible assessment of the four language skills, speaking, listening, reading, and writing, Foundation English Test provides reliable evidence of communicative competence, supporting candidates to succeed in an increasingly competitive job market.
